A Little May Gift Packet by Liz Wheeler

11:00

Hello and welcome to my Monday Blog Project.

For my Little Gift Packet I have used my Journal It Templates Set 4, 2 sheets from my Craft O'Clock Wild Garden 12x12 paper pack and my That's Crafty! Multi Purpose Craft Adhesive.

I started by tracing around the 5a template from Set 4 for the gift packet, scoring across all the lines - the three across the centre diagonal, and then across the four split lines to create two continuous score lines.

Once you have scored the lines, fold the two end triangles towards the centre.

Then fold the centre diagonal line in half - the first folds you made will be on the inside. You should also still have a score line visible just above the fold on the back and front of your gift packet. Fold these two score lines back on themselves so that your inside folds are now on the outside.

This will have created a little folded piece with a pocket at the front and the back.

Line up your 5a template again at the top of the gift packet to draw in your circle, and punch this out - adding ribbon or string to fasten your gift packet together. This will also ensure your packet stands up by itself.

I then drew around template 5b twice, to create the gift card holders that fit inside the pockets.

Fold the little tab up, and apply glue. Fold the glued section across to the middle to create a little pocket.

I then drew around template 5c twice to create folded cards. These then fitted inside the card holders.

Finally, I used the cover sheet from my 12x12 paper pad to fussy cut some decorative elements to stick to the front of the gift card holder and the packet.

A quick little project, but perfect for those shopping gift cards, little thank you notes or even swapping one of the card holders for a sachet of your favourite tea or hot chocolate!

Happy Crafting x
