Hi Everyone and Welcome 

 Today I am sharing a mixed media tag that I have created using some of That's Crafty's Surfaces along with paints, texture paste, stamps and stencils - you know all the usual mixed media arty suspects!!

I opted for a somewhat' feminine' colour palette - pinks, blues and white, PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylics being my paint medium of choice. (Crispy Blue, Azure, Taro Milk Tea, Byzantium, Bubble Gum, Snowflake).

Ink stamping added detail to the backgrounds.

For this I used Bipasha BK's AALL and Create 'Scripts' stamp with Archival ink (Blue Violet) and one of Tracy Scotts PaperArtsy stamps from Eclectica TS041 with Distress ink (Broken China).

 

 Some textured stenciling added more detail and introduced some texture. 

I used Tim Holtz Distress Texture Paste with AALL and Creates 'Lotsa Squares' stencil. 

The insert part of the ATC was the platform for my focal feature - a crackled heart. 

I crackled a That's Crafty! White/ Greyboard heart (#1) with DecoArt crackle paint and 'kissed' it with a painted die cut 'X'. 

Both the atc insert and 'X' were embellished with hex nuts. 

To finish I added a few words 'Heart and Soul' courtesy of a Tim Holtz quote chip.
