This panel, with the focal of the stencilled Daisy, shows how a variety of re-cycled papers can be brought together, with a few That's Crafty Lustre and Flat Matte Sprays.

That lone, stencilled Daisy is of such a gorgeous size that it can stand on its own, no need for supporting stamping or stenciling other than, me being me, the addition of a few words!

Instructions

Several torn panels of papers, were stained with various Flat Matte Sprays, the colours taking well, even on cardboard papers, brown packing papers, etc. As papers dried, Lustre sprays layered,  either a light misting or concentrating the spray on edges.

Leaving to dry, attention turned to stenciling one of the beautiful daisies onto a tag with Texture Paste. Once dry, first a generous spray of water onto the tag before continuing with Lustre Aubergine. This brought out so many lovely colours.  Catching the colour whilst wet, with watercolour brush/soft brush, pulling the colour onto the daisy, especially to central area. Then just as the tag was drying, misting again with water and another spray of Lustre Aubergine, holding the tag upright, allowing colour to drip downwards.


Before assembling the panel, first the prepared paper panels were taken to the sewing machine and with a rough approximation of what size of MDF panel, machine stitched the paper panels together (I like overhanging edges which is why I don't work with exact measurements).

The stitched panel then adhered to the MDF panel before adding final touches, such as the 13Arts Gravel, creating small clusters, Liquid Acrylic Wax applied to some of the papers, a stitched button and words ... "go live your dream" stamped onto piece of cardboard paper, only adhering the left side of this to the panel with a final mist of 13Arts Pastel Mist in White which although subtle, it brought a lovely quality to the panel.
