Trees and Flowers by Nikki Acton
11:00
Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing some 4x4 inch white/greyboard panels featuring the wonderful
new quote stamps by Alison Bomber. I am sure a lot of you are aware of Alison’s
fabulous art but also her amazing literary eloquence – and these quotes have
been selected by her for the new PaperArtsy Eclectica stamp range.
There are two
sets – EAB01 – Tree and Flowers (used today) and also EAB02 – Darkness and
Light, each featuring 9 quotes. You can see more details here.
I began by
brayering various Fresco paints onto the white surface – just building up
colour – always leaving some of the previous colour showing. (List of colours
below). I then sponged a little more paint through 2 Dinky stencils – Punchinella and Small Circles. A little stamping completed the backgrounds
using Lin Brown’s stamp set (ELB 30) – the wonderful grass and text stamp.
While brayering
my surface I also had some scrap card next to me which I used to clean my
brayer but also for stamping my leaves (ELB 31 and 29) and fabulous quotes.
These were stamped in Archival ink and fussy cut.
