Hi Everyone
I have had such a hectic week this last week which has meant
no free time for making something new, however it gives me the chance to share
with you a piece I made for one of the Hochanda shows from 2016 where That’s
Crafty! launched their range of Triptych’s. This is what I made using the
Acrylic Arch Triptych that I forgot to share.
Here’s What I Did:
The
best thing about working on acrylic is that you can work on both sides and you
just have to work out the order you layer things up.
I started by stamping the
fabulous women of Lynne Perrella from PaperArtsy onto the front of the acrylic
using black Stazon ink. Onto the reverse side of the acrylic I then stencilled
White Fire gold paint through several of That’s Crafty! Dinky stencils. Once the
paint was totally dry I then applied several different colours of alcohol inks
over the top keeping the colour lighter where the faces were that I had stamped
on the other side.
I then painted the White Fire paint over the entire back to
give not only a neat finish but also block the transparency of the alcohol
inks. Working back on the front I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat
embossed it in gold embossing powder. I added further embossed gold detail
using some pattern stamps. I edged all
around the acrylic pieces using a gold pen. On the front of the acrylic I added
colour to the cheeks of the women using red paint and some red Stickles
glitter glue.
The
Triptych is then held together with metal rings that come with the kit,
unfortunately I didn’t have those when I made it.
