I was playing around with my Gelli Plate the other
night, creating blocks of colour, and I loved the results so much, I
photographed them, and printed some out in different sizes to use as
backgrounds. I've used a 6x4" print on my project today.
Here's what I used...
DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Paint - Primary Yellow,
Cadmium Orange Hue, Primary Magenta, Green Gold, Cobalt Teal Hue, Phthalo Blue,
Payne's Grey
Carabelle Studio Stamp Sets - "Joy",
"Couture et damier"
Ranger Inkssentials Collage Glue Stick
White Copier Paper
Here's what I did...
1. I used the 8x10" Gelli Plate with the
DecoArt Media Acrylics to create a background on white copier paper, then
scanned and printed it out at 6x4". Here's my original print.
2. I used the glue stick to adhere my print to a
That's Crafty! White/Greyboard Postcard.
3. I painted the edges with Payne's Grey DecoArt
paint, then stamped the edges with images from "Couture et
damier".
4. I stamped the girl and the phrase from
"Joy", and my postcard art was finished.
I love that I now have a fab background that I can
print anytime I need it. I might even frame one as it is, to add a splash of
colour to my living room wall!
Have a very creative day!
