It’s a wee while since I last shared a project using
one of That’s Crafty! MDF hearts as a substrate.
It’s so clever of That’s Crafty! to not only have a
variety of sizes available but also a choice of MDF or white/greyboard.
Supplies
Infusions:- Black Knight, Violet Storms, Royal Blood,
Blackcurrant, The Sage
Clear Texture Paste (I used Ranger – That’s Crafty! stock different brands)
(The paperclay bunting was extra I made when stamping the
bunting for an earlier project – it is a timesaver to try and make extras of
any paperclay elements)
Instructions
Apply Gesso followed by the Infusions, to the heart,
generously misting with water. I prefer
to leave to dry naturally when possible.
With a palette knife, apply clear embossing paste to
the stencil, only on the upper most corner. Leave to dry for a few moments then apply, with care, Infusions. Apply heat to create texture.
Stamp Finnabair stamp onto tissuestock. Tear around image before adhering to
heart. Stamp art heart element only into
paperclay. At the same time, stamp the LPC bunting into paperclay. Cut away excess paperclay. Leave to dry.
Once dry, lightly paint with Infusions. Also apply the Infusions to a piece of scrap cardstock. Ink up “art” only from the same stamp,
stamping onto the prepared cardstock. Adhere to heart. Adhere the bunting to heart with silicone glue and the
heart to main image with Gel Medium.
Finally, in a loose manner, write some journaling.
