Merry
Christmas everyone and welcome to my last post for the year as we’re taking a
little break over the festive period and will be back with you next year. I’m
sharing a rather amusing card that I made for my brother as he appreciates this
sort of thing and I hope that you like it too.
Ingredients:
Alphabet
Stamps as a substitute for my text stamp, which was a Craft Stamper free one
Green
Cardstock
Square
Red Card Blank
Paper
Stumps
Recipe:
Stamp
the penguins image on white stamping card and stamp the ho, ho, ho text over
the top as shown.
Colour
the penguins with coloured pencils to resemble rockhopper penguins, which have
yellow crests like the detail on the stamped images.
Stamp
the Christmas hat from the Crazy Things set on white stamping card with the
black ink and colour with a red pencil. I used blending fluid with mine to give
a smooth effect to the colouring on the hat.
Cut
the hat out and add to the baby penguin at a jaunty angle. I just love the long
suffering look on his little face and I think the hat suits this perfectly.
Trim
the main image to a rectangular panel and add a green mat before gluing to your
card blank. I chose red to give a strong contrast to the matted image panel.
To
finish off my card, I added a rather tongue in cheek festive sticker.
We
have another great challenge for you over at That’s Crafty! Challenge Blog
today so hopefully you’ll have a bit of free time over the festive season to
enter for a fabulous prize.
I
hope you all have a really lovely Christmas and wish you all the best for 2018.
See
you next year for some more exciting happenings with That’s Crafty!
Fliss x
