A Day by Lynne Moncrieff

Hello

PaperArtsy Eclectica EAB stamps are surely amongst my most inked up stamps, whether inking up a full quote or partial quote.  Here, a quote layered to the tag which is the focal on this collaged panel.
Of course, another favourite....That's Crafty! MDF panels which are such a must-have for me.

Supplies

That's Crafty! Clear Stamp Set Carved Leaves Set 2
That's Crafty! MDF Panel  Pack of 3
That's Crafty! Walnut Ink Crystals
That's Crafty! Medium White Gesso
That's Crafty! Multi-Surface Paint: Midnight, Black,White
PaperArtsy Eclectica Designed by Alison Bomber EAB17
PaperArtsy Eclectica Designed by Seth Apter ESA14
Archival Ink Pad Jet Black
Extras: Skeleton Leaf, Canvas Fabric, Shipping Tag, Rusted Washer, Button

Instructions

I had some under-paper which had some Multi-Surface paints and walnut ink already on it.

After adhering to the MDF panel, I swiped white gesso onto the panel, ensuring the initial layers of colour would continue to peek through.

Laying the panel aside, onto a tag which had rusty marks from being part of some rust dying, I swiped Black paint onto edge before inking up a Carved Leaves stamp to stamp with Jet Black ink onto the tag.

Trapping beneath the tag, a large skeleton leaf (you might have some Skeleton leaves from when That's Crafty! had them on HOCHANDA  cut in half with a scrap of canvas fabric also layered beneath.

Stamping the quote from PaperArtsy EAB onto scrap of card, layering to the tag along with a rusty washer.

The very same quote stamp was repeatedly inked onto the panel, without re-inking allowing the stamping to fade.

To upper right corner one of the Seth Apter stamps, I knew I would be covering most of the design but I liked the lines. This same stamp was also stamped onto lower left corner of the tag.

another scrap of the canvas fabric, with a layering of a scrap of paper, rusted washer with a pearl button flipped over.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

  1. Such gorgeous artwork Lynne. The textured background is amazing and the little details from the embellishing are so lovely.
