Flower Power! by Helen Chilton

I've decorated a coaster this week - although a relatively small surface, you can still get a lot of detail.

I started by covering it with some of Melina's paper:

Then I took this stamp set and stamped in blue and green.

Next I took some of the Craftyboard and coloured it with the Satin inks.

The flower uses the waste product to make the yellow petals.

Add a bit of stamping in black over the Craftyboard.

I changed my mind about the other text as it was just slightly too close to the corner. Easily rectified - stamp on a scrap of the paper and stick it over! Add the butterfly, script edging and the red edges.

Finish with beaded upholstery trim and copper wire.

You can see from this that you can always change your mind about something as you go along - it's easy to cover it up! Have fun!
