She Art by Fliss Goodwin

Hello!

I have the front and back covers of my round journal to share this week and as the whole thing features Alexa's gorgeous girls what else could I call it but she art!

Step by Step:

I actually worked on the front and back at the same time to prepare the background as I wanted them to match. As the back was greyboard, I brushed on a coat of white gesso first.

I then misted both of the pages with orange flat matte spray followed by pink lustre spray and left them to dry well. Once they were completely dry, I took one of the new texture stamps from Random Artist 222 (Susana) and stamped this around the edges of both with black ink. I then heat embossed the images with clear powder.

I stamped my chosen girl on white cartridge paper with black ink and coloured her hair, lips, eyes and earrings with satin inks. Her face was coloured with watercolour pencils. I then cut her out.

I created my title with the A4 words stencil which contains 'art' and I used letters from some of the other words to make "she". I used white multi surface paint on black card adding a couple of coats to make the white stand out more. I then cut the words/letters out. All elements were then glued in place.

For the back, I used the text from the A4 attitude is everything stencil as I just love this one and felt it fitted the end perfectly. I used black pigment ink and heat embossed the text in the centre of the page.

Watercolour Pencils

Have a great weekend with hopefully some sunshine and see you next week.
