Create...... by Amanda Pink

Hi Everyone

Welcome to my Thursday weekly post!
This week I am sharing another piece of creativity that could be used in a few different ways - as an 'art panel /card, a journal page or maybe a journal/book cover.

The background started life as a 'mop up' that I did at the same time I created the background I used for my 'Freedom is a State of Mind' project (here) so the colour palette will be familiar- greens, yellows and oranges which I grunged up with some black and white!
I added detail and interest by stamping using a crackle and text stamp with Archival ink and stenciling using texture paste through AALL and Creates #45 stencil, Digital Bubbles

and That's Crafty! 'Numbers' stencil.

The corner feature is made up of That's Crafty! greyboard shapes. The 'round' is a That's Crafty! ATCoin painted black and sponged lightly with gesso. On top of that sit two of the propellors from That's Crafty! Sawblades and Propellors Greyboard sheet-one large, one small. The larger one is treated to a coat of grit paste stippled with some of the colours I used in the background whilst the smaller one is covered with an excess piece of the 'mop up' background and on top of them all sits a black circle embellished with a brad.

With all the detail on the background I kept the words to a minimum- their grunginess seemed to make them the ideal fit!

Products I used:

Cardstock: White and Black
That's Crafty! Surfaces: Atcoins
That's Crafty! Surfaces: Bits and Pieces Greyboard Sheet, Saw Blades and Propellors
Tim Holtz Distress Paints: Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron
Paper Trimmer

I hope you have enjoyed your time here with me today and that maybe I have offered some creative inspiration.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
Until the same time next week I wish you a great week
Take Care

  3. Another wonderful expression of art born in the act of cleaning a brayer! I imagine that beautiful shade of green that I am seeing is called something elegant like Limelight, but I am going to call it chartreuse and explain that I love it! It conveys such energy. Well done, Amanda!
