Quirky Cat by Donna Gray

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a card featuring some of my That’s Crafty! clear stamps and how you can use them in a different way to how you first think.

What to do:

Cut a piece of white/greyboard to a size that comfortably fits on a 6x6 card. Then start to smear on a mixture of translucent Fresco paints using an old credit/store card to create a random background.

Next add some stencilling with a light coloured Distress ink through a Dinky star stencil.

Stamp the various images onto Strathmore mixed media paper, colour in using a mixture of Distress Markers (dilute with a water brush first), fussy cut out and adhere to the front of the white/greyboard as shown in the picture.

Stick the finished creation to black card, then white cardstock and add a Tim Holtz sentiment for a finishing touch.

The ‘cloud’ is actually a thought bubble from the Serenity set (Bentley) and the little houses are actually the ones that hang from the hair of my quirky girl Beki.

I love using stamps in various ways to suit what I’m making at the time, makes for great value too of course ;)

Hope you like it
