Wonderful Wildflowers by Donna Gray

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a card using some of Tim’s wildflowers stamps….and you all know how much I love these beauties!

What To Do:

As you’ll be using entirely Distress markers for this, use a sheet of Strathmore mixed media paper as that will handle anything thrown at it.

I’ve drawn the face for this but don’t worry as That’s Crafty! have a ton of face stamps in the shop so I’ll list a set for you that can be used instead of drawing one.

Once the face has been drawn/stamped, start to colour in using Distress Markers. As they are very potent, I always scribble a little bit of the colour onto an acrylic block (craft mat will do also) and then pick up the colour with a water brush as then it gets diluted nicely. I recommend the Tattered Rose marker as a good starting point for the base skin colour.

After the face has been coloured in, now take some of Tim’s flowers stamps and apply various colours of green and yellow Distress Markers directly to the stamps, remember to ‘huff’ on them a little bit before stamping so they retain the right amount of moisture. You can spritz them with a little water too but it’s easy to spritz too much and then make them too watery to stamp!

Add a bit of splattering using just your water brush and some more Distress Marker colour. I added a sentiment that’s my own stamp (stamped in Archival Fern Green) but I love adding one of Tim’s sticker sentiments usually, so if you haven’t got an appropriate sentiment stamp in your stash, try one of them.

Mount onto black card and then white cardstock and there you have a dreamy flowery card ;)
