Hi Everyone and Welcome.
The project that I've created to share today is very much a continuation from last weeks project (shared here.)
It's the same size, it's primarily an art panel and it's the same colours. However I changed up the the focal feature and made this art panel into an 'arty' card that could be given for many an occasion.
It's the same size, it's primarily an art panel and it's the same colours. However I changed up the the focal feature and made this art panel into an 'arty' card that could be given for many an occasion.
I wanted to show that this size and style of creativity is so versatile in how it can be utilised/featured. Used in this way its kind of a BOGOF ;) as not only is it a card but it also doubles up as a present! Once the occasion is over the panel becomes the present and can be displayed either on or off the card, framed or unframed as a piece of Art.
The background
This was created at the same time as the one I created for last weeks art panel using the same colours of Tim Holtz Distress reinkers applied in the same way.
I explained the process on last weeks post but here's a quick recap:
Apply ink to some small pieces of canvas paper, spritz the inks with water,
press the inky side of the canvas paper down onto a piece of mixed media paper. Dry.
Repeat process until happy.
I then added some Archival ink stamping to the background. For this I used parts of Tracy Evans AALL & Creates 'Reckoner Digits' stamp with Jet Black Archival ink.
A few additional extras to the background were the same as I did on last weeks art panel.
Some open circles that I drew with the aid of a white pen and That's Crafty's 'Bubbles' Dinky stencil and some white paint splatters.
The background panel was adhered to a That's Crafty! white/greyboard panel cut to size.
The focal feature
In the middle of the panel I stamped and embossed Katzelkraft's fabulous "Halftones Stars' stamp using Seth Apter's White Cloud Baked Velvet emboss powder, adding some drop shadowing to help 'lift' the image from the background. I painted a die cut heart, adhered it to the centre of the embossed image and rested one of Tim Holtz wonderful moths from his fabulous Stampers Anonymous stamp set 'Moth Study' upon it.
The moth was stamped and embossed, water coloured with Distress inks, given some white highlights and wire antennae.
To finish of the panel I added some stamped and embossed words taken from one of Tim Holtz Stamper Anonymous 'Tiny Text' stamps:

Hope you've enjoyed your time here with me today.
Thanks for taking the time to pop by.
Wishing you all a wonderful creative week.
Take Care
