Hello!
I have a sample from the July shows on The Craft Store to share this week featuring the adorable peeking puss from Melina's fabulous zentangle style stamp designs.
Step by Step:
My chosen substrate is an MDF Skinnie which I decided to cover with paper. I stamped a piece of smooth cartridge paper with one of the floral backgrounds using VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with clear powder.
I misted the stamped paper with pastel shades of Lustre spray, intending on a faux batik effect but when I ironed off the embossing powder all that was left was a sort of pearly residue which wasn't strong enough. I then over stamped the paper with the same image using toning Oxide inks.
I glued the paper in place on the assembled Skinnie and trimmed off the excess. I stamped a further floral spray on the cartridge paper with black ink and coloured the flowers with Zig markers and cut out the whole images.
I stamped the cat of smooth white card with black ink and cut him out, gluing him towards the top. I glued flowers and dots around him and across the surface and finished off with text from the stamp set, stamped on black card and heat embossed with white powder.
Supplies:
Have a great weekend and see you next week.
