I haven't seen many ladybirds around this year so though I'd create some!
I started by spritzing and blotting two ATCs with Raspberry and Walnut Flat Matte Sprays.
Then, using a stamping platform, I stamped this AALL&Create image, first in VersaFine Clair Tulip Red,
then touches of Chianti
and then black. I used a felt pen for this stage but a mini black ink pad would work as well.
I thought it looked a bit dull, so used the Bugs background stamp in orange. I used it on the other ATC as well.
I stamped the ladybirds onto white card and built up the colours as before.
I was just going to cut out the bugs but decided I liked the thread as well - the white outline lifted the whole image.
Stamp it again in the Tulip Red onto the other ATC.
Then take various bits from the Bug background to layer on top.
I've had fun with the ladybirds - these are only small stamps but they've got a lot of detail and pack a real punch.
Hope you've enjoyed this project.
Helen
Brilliant ways to use one stamp. Thanks for sharing
