Hi Everyone.
This week I've moved away from my 'grungy' creative style and have gone all bright and colourful to create a card that features a fun quirky katzelkraft 'bird' who's tweet for today is 'Fill your life with Colour'.
I worked on/ with black and card stock throughout. Black for the mounts, white for the handmade card,
the mounts and the backgrounds.
Both the main background panel and the smaller central panel were created with Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylics (Magenta, Lemon, Lime, White), AALL and Create Stencils ( Lotsa Dots, Lotsa Squares) and a gel plate.
Some ink stamping added extra detail and interest to the backgrounds.
For this I used stamps from AALL and Create ( #292, #350) and PaperArtsy (Eclectica TS041) with black Archival ink, stamping with only parts of the full stamp designs.
Torn pieces of washi tape (AALL and Create #6) adhered along the sides and into the corners of the backgrounds added additional detail and interest.
The focal feature, the fun 'quirky' bird is from a Katzelkraft stamp set (KTZ217).
He was stamped in black archival on the smaller background panel. His body, eyes and beak were all stamped again, cut out and decoupaged. For his body I stamped onto a colour stencilled print off cut and for his eyes and beak I stamped on white card.
The quirky birds 'tweet' is from one of the quotes on PaperArtsy stamp set ( Eclectica EEG17). It was stamped and embossed with white detailed embossing powder, cut into pieces and then arranged around the centre panel.

....Life With Colour"
