A Floral Journal Page by Helen Chilton

I'm trying to conjure up spring this week (ever hopeful!) with some of Tracy Scott's gorgeous flower stamps.

I started with a bit of stencilling in Texture Paste. When that was dry (actually, I tell a lie - I couldn't wait for it to dry!) I had a bit of a spritz with some Lustre sprays and dabbed them around a bit.

Then I stamped some text with corresponding Distress inks.

Then out came the florals. I stamped the leaves in Broken China, using the second impression as I didn't want it too dark.

After that I stamped the flowers and coloured them with a bit of extra Lustre spray. Then I added some stencilling with a black ink pad and edged the pages.

If only it would stop raining, maybe spring would appear! Oh well, this journal page has cheered me up - hope it has you too!

Helen
