I started by die cutting some white and black cardstock. Two black and three white for each bug.
I stamped the beetle onto the three white cardstock die cuts, I found the easiest way to do this for me was to have the inked stamp face up on the table and then place the die cut done onto it and apply pressure across the cardstock.
I then layered the die cuts selecting different areas to cut out.
I then coloured the images and stamped another set of the beetles to cut, colour and stick wings on to the beetles.
I used my finger to smooth a little holographic gel on each beetle.
I used a post it note to mask the beetle area on the stamp and stamped the number element on to some calico.
I created a background using acrylic paint on my gelli plate with a stencil.
I cut my background to fit the back of the faux embroidery hoop.I then stuck the hoop together and added my beetles.
I popped a staple into the top of each of the pieces of fabric for effect and then stuck them in position and there's my fab three.
