By the Light of the Silvery Moon by Helen Chilton

I love this owl by Melina - he's got real character!

I started off by colouring a 5x7" journal page with the Satin inks. I just sponge them on, mixing as I go.

I then used the A4 circle stencil to create a moon. The yellow ink didn't show much but it did mean....

...I could sprinkle on some Aged Silver embossing enamel while it was still sticky.

Playing around with my paints, I decided to try out the Interference purple which showed up really well on the dark background.

I added stencilled stars in the same colour.

After that just add your owl and leaves. They've been painted with the inks as well.

Supplies:
That's Crafty! Clear Stamp Set - Autumn Collection - Set 2
That's Crafty! Satin Ink: Deep Blue, Deep Green, Raspberry, Yellow, turquoise, Green
That's Crafty! A4 Stencil - Circles - TC40002
That's Crafty! Dinky Stencil - Star Shower - TC037
That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paint - Interference Lilac
That's Crafty! Surfaces White/Greyboard Journal - 5ins x 7ins
STAMPENDOUS! Frantage Embossing Enamel - Aged Silver
VersaFine Clair Ink Pads: Nocturne
Posca Pens: White

The inks are really great for colouring with - they sort of blob and mix together creating a lovely effect, drying to a satin finish. The owl is a really good size and I've finished everything with a bit of white doodling. Hope you enjoyed this project.
