It's Officially Christmas by Debbie James

Now it's December I couldn't resist a little wooden plaque to decorate my room.

First of all I added gesso to my plaque to give a better key for the paint. I added some dark blue paint and let it dry naturally.

Once dry I added some smooth texture paste through the stencil to give a nice starry night look.

I stamped onto some plain white card, the stamps I wanted for the plaque and I coloured them with alcohol pens and added some glitter. I cut them all out and arranged them onto my plaque until I was happy with the little village I wanted to create. I didn't use them all so I have saved the leftovers to use on another project.

I used the torn edge of some papers to create some snowy hills for my little houses to sit on,

This has got me in the mood for Christmas and I hope you enjoyed it too.

  1. A really gorgeous background Debbie and the stars look so fabulous swirling on there. A beautiful festive scene.
