Hi Everyone
Well what a past week I have had, due to some electrical works I have had to had done at home I have had to empty most of my craft room to allow the electrician to get to where he needed to go and if I ever needed confirmation that I have far to much stuff that's done it! I have nearly got everything back in so needless to say I haven't had much crafty time so I have made a card from a background I made a couple of weeks ago.
Here's What I Did:
My background was created using a gel plate and a texture plate by Art by Marlene. Firstly I brayered 4 colours of Dina Wakley acrylic paint across the gel press and pulled a print of the blended colour. I then covered the Gel Press with a layer of black acrylic paint and pressed the printing stamp into the paint to lift the paint off with the stamp and quickly took a print of it on top of the previous blended print. I also dropped the printing stamp into water as acrylic paint can ruin your stamp if you let it dry on it.
I then cut the background to the size I wanted. I didn't want to cover up to much of the background but felt it needed something so painted 3 of the greyboard bits and pieces using black and white That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paints. I cut a strip of vellum and stamped the word Hello on it with Versafine black ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.
I then matted onto black card and added to a 7" x 7" card blank.
Here's What I Used:
Gel Press (various sizes available)
Dina Wakley Acrylic Paints assorted colours
That's Crafty! Surfaces Greyboard Bits & Pieces - Flowers
That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paints - Black & White
Versafine Clair Ink Pad - Nocturne
Stencil Card
Black Embossing Powder
Vellum
7" x 7" Card Blank
Hope you have a fabulous week and I'll see you next Tuesday
Love

Fabuloous card Amanda . Love the background - it reminds me off those kits you could buy as a kid where you scratch off the black surface to reveal the colours beneath. Just the roght amount of added extras to allow it to shine too . x
ReplyDeleteAaagh - what a nightmare. Hope you are allowed back into your craftroom soon. Happy you had this cool card ready to go. The black gelli print pull looks so good.
