Hello!
Just in case you live on the moon, you may not know about the fabulous ATCoin stamps that That's Crafty! launched a couple of weeks ago. The ATCoin bug hasn't bitten me hard yet, I'm sure it will!, but the ATCoin stamps are wonderful for NOT using on ATCoins too!
What I did
I started off with an 8 inch MDF Round and gave it two coats of white gesso, I punched out five 1 inch circles out of old book and adhered in place and then using my fingers applied different colours of paint to create the background and knocked back and blended the colours a little using white gesso.
The white details of the back ground were then embossed using white embossing powder and some stars stamped directly on to the background. Everything else, the moon, sun, stars, mushrooms and foliage were stamped on to white card, coloured with watercolours and adhered in place.
For the first time, possibly ever, I resisted the urge to add glossy accents or glitter as the white embossed details give a little shine. To finish I added a few details with a white Posca paint pen and added some black gesso splats to represent some flying spores. To hang I added ribbon and beads from my stash.
What I used
That's Crafty! Multi Surface Paints I used: Orange, Teal, Grey and Mustard Yellow
That's Crafty! Clear ATCoin Stamp Sets I used sets 7, 8 and 9
(From my stash: Martha Stewart paints: Amaranth, Bubblegum, Flamingo Pink, Rubber Ducky and Granny Smith. Old book page, 1 inch circle punch, ribbon scraps and beads).
Thanks so much for looking, wishing you a lovely day, Sam xx
