O Christmas Tree - A Wreath by Fliss Goodwin

Hello!
As promised last week, I have another make to share using the festive papers I used to create my tree card as there were enough papers to make quite a few things and as I wanted to show you could make something other than cards, this Christmas decoration was the result.

What I Did:

I created my wreath first using an MDF one which is part of a kit and I chose the middle one.

I applied texture paste to the wreath using my favourite mandala stencil, having first taped the wreath to the stencil to keep it in place.

I then added blobs of multi surface paint to my craft mat - lime, evergreen and gold - misting with a little water and then roughly applying it to the wreath until the surface was covered. I dried it off with a heat gun and then covered any bits that I'd missed on the first coat. Once it was dry, I dabbed a gold ink pad over the raised areas to add some shimmer.

Once the wreath was made, I created my trees using some of the left over paper from my card last week and the same technique. You can find all the details of how I made it HERE

I used the largest bunting die in my set with the next 2 down as these were a perfect fir for the wreath. I assembled the trees and glued these to the wreath with dimensional adhesive.

I stamped my chosen text on some spray overflow sheet scraps in my bits box and added these to dark grey mats before gluing them to the trees.

Extras - Iron, Dark Grey or Black Cardstock, Red Recycled Sari Ribbon, Gold Inkpad

Have a great weekend and see you next week.

  1. The wreath looks lovely and it would have been a shame not to use them in another project
