Today I am sharing an assemblage using a Chunkie as the substrate.
In my view, Chunkies are a wonderful addition to the That's Crafty! Surfaces range. They are sold either in packs of 2 or for the ATC size, packs of 3, wonderful value for money.
I continue with the theme of nature which seems to dominate at the moment with me.

Found Papers
Eco Dyed Papers and Rusted Safety Pins

Walnut Ink (I work with diluted walnut ink crystals but there are substitutes such as Distress Ink/Distress Spray/Distress Paint)
Instructions
After assembling the Chunkie, paint with Gesso and then a few random swipes of Light Texture Paste (which are nearly all but covered up eventually!) I set to work painting with Seth Apter paints. Working quickly, I pushed back the paint with a baby wipe, applied walnut ink and repeated this a few times until achieving the weathered appearance I was aiming for. To this I stamped the Texture stamp from That's Crafty! Textures collection, even when stamped lightly it brings another layer to the background.

Dearest Lynne, another beauty from your nature loving heart . I am always in love with the art you create in this style. It looks gorgeous with the different papers, dyed in tea or coffee- and love they look as if, you just picked them up from the dirt,-- isen`t it fun that some of us prefer this kind of shuddy look , I truly do - it makes it so alive :-) Sunday smile from me- xxx

An absolute beauty Lynne. The eco dyed papers look gorgeous against the soft weathered background and the leaf panel looks so beautiful. Stunning layering.

Your papers remind me so much of antique shops and attics Lynne, so realistic with your eco aging and I love the addition of that rusty safety pin. I have to agree regarding the chunkies they really are a master piece for displaying upon.
