Hello Creative Friends
I'm sharing a plaque today created using both sets of newly released
That's Crafty! Natures Faces Stamps designed by Melina Dahl.
That's Crafty! Natures Faces Stamps designed by Melina Dahl.
Here's my Patchwork Metal Tiled Plaque and those how to do's..
Using 5 greyboard panels I painted each in a different Multi Surface Metallic Paint.
Stamping images from sets 1 & 2 using Versafine ink I heat set until dry
then traced over those stamped images gently using a ballpoint pen,

Finer detail was etched in using a beading awl with a very fine point.
Cut to size by eye some of the images were edged with dots using the
end of the beading awl but a small ball tool will do the same job.
Dents in the greyboard were created with a hammer!!

Measuring up the correct amount of images needed to tile the
panel some of the images had to be cut down to size to fit.
With added rivets and a tiny splash of colour from a trio of flat back
gems each piece is glued into place using Multi Purpose Glue.
Using a small amount of teal on the end of my finger I gently
rubbed it over the copper pieces to resemble patina.

Using black gesso in the same way helped to
take away some of that unnatural shine.
Patchwork Metal Tiled Plaque is complete.
Another versatile set of stamps just in time for this coming spring...
