Hi
everyone,
Donna
here today featuring an Autumnal wreath with the new yummy products from That’s
Crafty! which were featured on Hochanda last Friday.
What I did:
Depending
on what sort of paints you are using, you may need to give the MDF wreath a
coat of Gesso but as I was using chalk paints on it I didn’t need to do that
step.
After
painting the wreath and thoroughly drying it, I then used a crackle texture
stamp from That’s Crafty! and stamped all around the wreath in brown Archival
ink to give a worn look.
Next
step was to bring the greyboard embellishments to life with a mixture of chalk
paints and the new That’s Crafty! paints which are lush and truly multi surface
too.
A
bit of doodling with my favourite white Posca pen and then I adhered everything
to the wreath with glue. Add some twine and buttons for a finishing touch, with
a Sari ribbon and Raffia to hang the wreath from.
A
Tim Holtz sentiment completes the creation. I just about got this photo taken
before it had to be quickly removed for it’s own ‘safety’ from wandering teeth
and claws!!
Supplies Used:
Hope
you like it

Just love those greyboard leaves and how you have painted them, Donna! Great arrangement. Happy weekend! Nxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful autumn colors on your leaves, and love the stamped texture on the wreath, Donna. Your toadstool is just fabulous painted, like a real Amanita , and the twine adds extra gorgeous rustic feeling to it.
ReplyDeleteHihi, you need to have a nail, for photo taking, somewhere safe :-)
