Hello all, I`m back with my Monday post for That`s Crafty! and this time with an
angel from Donna`s stamp set called
FERN.
I love That`s Crafty! MDF surfaces,
as they hold their form, even sprayed with a lot of water and today I used one
of the panels, to tell my story!
First I gave it a coat of gesso, and
after dry, added scrap pieces, from an old French/Danish dictionary.
After that, the whole surface was
sprayed with Infusions , Navy Blue, Sleight blue and Olive.
I then used the wonderful That`s
Crafty! stencil Church Window, to add texture , with texture paste through the
stencil. When dry, I sprayed with Navy blue again and used a little silver paint
from the new shimmer Paints. Not so easy to photograph!
I wanted to place the angel on right
side, and stamped her first directly onto the surface.
Next step was to add texture paste through
the Dinky stencil Wings, to fit around the angel body and also another Dinky
stencil, Flowers, was used on the bottom panel.
When all dried, I painted the flowers
with diluted Infusion Olive and the wings, with diluted Navy blue, adding
Archival Ink: Hydrangea and StazOn: Cloudy Sky ,using cotton swaps, followed by
the Shimmer paint, Silver.
I stamped the angel again on a paper
scrap, fussy cut her and adhered between the wings, over the first stamped
image.
She was painted with black and brown
Sharpies, and blue and red Posca pens.
Lynne`s beautiful Affirmations were stamped
onto paper with Archival ink Leaf green, cut into 4 pieces, and “framed” with
StazOn Cloudy Sky, before adhered to panel.
The tiny heart, a gift from my dear
friend Lynne, was colored with Olive and Cloudy Sky, I stenciled the hearts
from Dinky hearts, onto paper, fussy cut and adhered to the heart. The Heart
stencil was also used between the angel wings.
Lace was sprayed with Sleigh Blue
Infusions and leaves and heart fussy cut from it.
The heart was added to the angel
with an Abalone shell button and the leaves among the flowers.
Lastly the flowers got their black
center, with a black Sharpie and all edges on the panel was run over with the
Cloudy Sky ink pad.
