Curiosity by Donna Gray

Hi everyone,

Donna here today showcasing some of the exciting new products from That’s Crafty! and I can tell you they’re wonderful ;)

What to do:

Use one of the new white/greyboard GiganTAGS, these are HUGE so plenty of space to go wild on it!

I decided to use Gelato’s on this so I gave it a coat of clear Gesso first as they blend so much better on it.

I drew the cat but you can use a stamp, stencil or anything you like.

Start colouring in the background and cat with a selection of Gelato’s, use a squeezed out baby wipe too as that helps with the blending.

I used a Dinky stencil for the background for which I pounced a Distress Oxide through it.

Now because I have a slightly weird view on things, I decided the feather greyboard embellishments would make perfect whiskers and a name tag so I set about painting them with the new shimmer paints from That’s Crafty! these are amazing, the shimmer is something else.

Before you adhere the ‘whiskers’ go over the cat with a black pencil just to make him stand out more. I’ve learnt my lesson the hard way not to ruin fine liner pens on top of Gelatos!

Now you can adhere the whiskers to the ginger cat with his little name tag. Stamp the word quirky from the Fern stamp set and add a couple of sentiments from Tim Holtz.

There you have a delicious shade of marmalade cat which funnily seems to look like my cat Fred….strange…..
