This
week I am sharing a project featuring some of the newer products on sale at
That’s Crafty, combining a few Character Constructions Paris Flea stamps, a
frame from a That’s Crafty House Shrine and an Affirmation from Lynne’s
Affirmations (I will have more to say on this in an upcoming post!)
If you
are interested in any of the Character Constructions stamps not displayed on
the website, contact Laura with your enquiries.

Instructions
Cut
white/greyboard to suitable size as backing for house frame, applying Gesso to
both before applying Fresco paints.
Once
dry, onto the frame, stamp various stamps such as text, paintbrush, paint tube,
markings, etc. I stamped all with second, third generation stamping, stamping
off onto scrap paper.
Continue stamping
by stamping a paint tube at the lower corner and edging frame with one of the
EAA stamps. Edge frame with white paint
pen.
With
French Roast, stamp the words, art girl, using the EAA alphabet stamps. Edge with white paint pen.
For the
white/greyboard panel, stamp paintbrush, text and stars and Affirmation. Create drips with paint pen.
Layer
frame to board with silicone glue.
Onto
smoothy cardstock, apply the various paints before stamping the following:-
Paris
Flea No. 1:- doll, largest heart
Paris
Flea No. 2:- ink up arms only and paintbrush (stamp paintbrush several times)
Paris
Flea No. 3:- skirt
Paris
Flea No. 4:- beret, bow
PaperArtsy
EEA04:- painttube
Fussy
cut all the stamped elements.
For the
skirt, create dots by “stamping” end of handle from foam brush into French
Roast paint. For her pendant, adhere
rhinestones around edge of heart.
Begin
to assemble the doll. By tilting the
elements at slight angles, you bring character to the paper doll.
Before adhering the doll to the frame, stamp
paintbrushes onto frame, to give appearance they are poking out from her beret.
Layer fussy cut paintbrushes for
dimension. Attach paintbrush to her
hand.
Finally,
adhere stamped paint tube and paintbrushes to lower corner.
The Art
Girl is cosy in her home and ready to have some artsy fun!
Until
next time,
Lynne
