Tag Art By Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, I have an arty tag to share this week which came about because I saw some rather lovely tags on Pinterest which all used a black tag as the base. I liked the way the brighter colours contrasted and this is the result of my experiment.

Ingredients:

That’s Crafty! Dinky Stencils – Enchanted, Large Circles Background, Believe

Recipe:

I coloured the tag using the Gelli plate. Instead of using a brayer I put dots of paint in blues, green, yellow and white on a plate then applied dabs of paint randomly on the Gelli plate with my fingers – a bit messy but great fun! I then smooshed the paint, again with my fingers, to spread it out a bit and pressed on the first black tag.

Now comes the clever bit as you can press another black tag on top of the painty tag to give another coloured one and you can also press a third tag on the plate to pick up the remaining paint so you get 3 for the price of one out of this!

The next step is to add white dots top and bottom with the circles stencil and the Gesso. I then stamped on a couple of the grunge images with the black paint and stencilled on some text with the same paint.

I finished off my tag with a butterfly stamped with black ink on a scrap of stamping card and painted yellow. I also added a sticker from the Big Chat sticker book.

Have a great weekend and see you next week.
