We have
very exciting news today, That’s Crafty! is launching loads of new crafty
wonderfulness live on Hochanda, where the fabulous Lauren Hatwell will be
demoing this fun stuff and sharing how she uses it t make gorgeous things. You can watch on Hochanda live at 10am, 1pm
and 6pm, or Hochanda Catch Up or pop
over to the shop to see the new products. As part of the celebration I am sharing a project I made using the MDF
Arch and my fellow teamies will be sharing more samples over the coming days
and weeks.
I
started with a coat of gesso everywhere. For the front of the doors when closed I used the Modelling paste
through the Feathers Dinky stencil. Next
I mixed Clam Bake Beige Magical with Irridescent medium and gave the whole of
the front and back a base coat.
When
dry I used the modelling paste through the Silhouette Face and
Wings Dinky stencils and painted them with the Pearl paint dabber. I also added small highlight drops of the
other Magicals mixed with water her and there across the outside covers and the
inside. Next I stamped the text in
randomly using the Sienna ink.
I
transferred the digital image onto silk organza using the Transfer Artist
Paper, cut the fabric to size and shape of the arch and layered with other
fabrics and lace.
To
complete the arch I added Glass Beads and Micro Beads on the cover and fabric
and a few smears of the gold wax lustre on the wings.
