Hi everyone
Yesterday That’s Crafty! were again on Hochanda TV with a
range of exciting new lines, hopefully you caught some of the shows but if you
missed them you can watch them on the Hochanda website and they will be there
for over a week HERE.
I would like to share with you one of the pieces I made for
the shows using one of the brand new acrylic shaped stacks, The House.
The acrylic stacks feature 3 clear acrylic layers and an MDF
back so 4 layers in total.
Here’s What I Did:-
The
first is deciding how you are going to layer up your pieces as you will create
a feeling of depth. So having chosen the stamps I wanted, I stamped onto the 3
acrylic layers with Stazon, before I added colour to any of them I layered them
together to check that it worked any mistakes can easily be removed with Stazon
cleaner or similar and then you can stamp again. I then coloured my images with Posca paint
pens from the underside.
Here
are the layers before they are stacked apologies for the reflection.
I have heat embossed the word ‘Imagine’ onto the top layer.
These will take some embossing but it takes a lot longer than normal to get the
embossing powder to react so you just have to keep your heat gun moving.
The MDF back piece I just painted with a dark blue
PaperArtsy paint and heat embossed an image as my sun.
You then just stack them all together with the bolts that
are supplied with the kit.
There are several new designs of acrylic stacks so check out
the website they are fabulous.
What I Used:-
