Universal Grunge by Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, I’ve just got my inky mitts on some of the fab new Visible Image stamps which came in handy for a bright and jazzy card for one of my nephews.

Ingredients:

Visible Image Clear Stamps – Scratch The Surface, Universal
VersaFine Inks – Habanero, Spanish Moss
VersaMagic Dew Drop Inks – Key Lime, Turquoise Gem
Orange Card

Recipe:

The card is actually quite simple to make, just involving layers of stamping and embossing so I’ll list the layers below. It’s important to emboss each layer before you stamp the next as you’ll find they melt into each other and this gives a very together look.

Layer 1 – this is the sentiment, which I stamped in the top left corner of a piece of card cut to fit my card blank with the Habanero ink and clear embossed.

Layer 2 – I stamped the straight scratch image horizontally on the card in three lots of two with the turquoise ink and clear embossed them.

Layer 3 – this is the squiggly circle image, which I stamped several time with the Spanish Moss ink and clear embossed as before.

Layer 4 – I stamped the star image three times with the orange ink and embossed it. You’ll start to see how the layers melt into each other here.

Layer 5 – next I stamped the larger circular scribble with the Habanero ink, stamping some going off the page and again clear embossed.

Layer 6 – The final layer was stamping on the larger scratch image with the lime ink to fill the remaining spaces, over stamping in some places to pull everything together. I then clear embossed as before.

To finish I added an orange mat to my panel before gluing it onto my card blank.
