Faux Ceramic Heart Pendant by Debs Wainwright

Good morning everyone Debs here with a pendant I created using a small shaped white/greyboard.

Here's what I did

First I used a bubble stencil with crackle paste and allowed it to dry. I then used several sprays to colour the heart. On top of the spray I used guilding wax in gold and silver to highlight the crackle.

I wanted some more colour to show so using pigment ink in blue and green I added the colour to the back and front of the heart.

I wanted to add some interest to the heart so punched several holes. I liked this idea as I could have threaded ribbon or wire through the holes which would look good but chose to use screw brads. But first using clear UTEE I gave several coats to the back and front.

I added the brads and links to put the heart on a chain.

It's difficult to show the colours and texture on a photo but here are a couple of close ups.

And a last look at the whole thing

What I used

Ranger UTEE
Screw Brads

I love building texture and this heart is full of interest with colours showing as you turn it. Because of the UTEE it's difficult to capture on a photo, so you will have to trust me.

See you all soon hugs
