Adorned by Lynne Moncrieff

Let it be known, I have a weakness for Prima Relics and Artifacts!

I generally do not get excited about individual products (other than stamps and vintage/ephemeral items!) which is good in one way because if I announce I like something then rest assured I really do like and there are reasons.

I am in no way affiliated with Prima Relics and Artifacts but if you haven’t worked with them, maybe toying with the idea of making a purchase, here are a few of the reasons I reach for them but this is just my personal view.

They are so smooth and I have found them to accept anything without an application of Gesso:- Frescos including metallic and Crackle Glaze, Crackle Paste, Distress Stain Sprays, Martha Stewart Metallic Acrylics and to a lesser extent mica powders. No doubt the day will come when I might need the aid of Gesso but not so far.

They literally are a blank canvas for you to create to your style:- Mixed Media, home décor, wearable art, jewellery, wall art, cardmaking, tag art….. and whether contemporary, vintage, shabby, Steampunk, timeless elegance, somehow they seem to morph to whatever style you want.

You can stamp onto them, draw your own art, transfer images, adhere fabric and jewels, layer various R&As together….

Yes, I am slightly obsessed!!!!

I made this piece of wearable art for a friend who celebrated her birthday earlier this year.

Supplies

PaperArtsy Fresco Finish:- Brown Shed, Old Gold, Toffee, Claret
Basic Jewellery Tools
Jump Rings (substitute with Idea-ology Jump Rings)
Extras:- Rhinestone chain, strong hold clear drying adhesive, chain* and fastener

Instructions

Apply paints to R&A, blending the colours as you work, leaving centre area lighter.  Remember to paint the rear. Dry with heat gun.

Stamp selected LPC image onto tissuestock. Adhere to centre area, removing excess tissuestock. Once dry, highlight with copper, particularly her cheeks.

I chose to embellish the pendant with rhinestones  but you could use anything.   Once the heart is complete, attach to jump rings and chain, attaching a decorative fastner.

There we have it!

Until next time,

Lynne

I've seen many many different projects in every conceivable style using them and I love working with them too. What a great idea the combo of R and A and Lynne Perrella is on this piece. Her style goes so well with ex voto hearts! Gorgeous colours and gem stones too! xx

  9. Lynne, dear, another beautiful necklace, using Sandra`s wonderful R&A ..in the form of the ex voto heart, which I love.
So gorgeous with Lynne Perrella`s stamped face, just the perfect size for the center in the heart, and in the tones of flames/fire. The rhinestones are giving the light and life to this amazing piece. Dorthe, xxx
