Finding Serenity An Art Journal Page by Lynne Moncrieff

 Hello

This journal page is another in the That's Crafty! Journal that I continue to work in  Although this particular That's Crafty! journal is no longer available I would recommend the substitute listed in the supplies list below if looking for a similar sized journal.

Supplies

Instructions

Onto the journal page, Walnut Ink (decanted into spray bottle) was misted onto the page quickly followed by applying small amounts of Black Pearl Ink and immediately misting this with water. The journal page was allowed to air dry flat at this stage.

Selecting from the Tag Block the white tag it was time to distress by scrunching in my hands before adding the Walnut Ink Crystals (or substitute with Powder).

This tag would be the base for a collaged focal.

Stamping one of the Wildflowers with Jet Black ink onto scrap of card, it was layered to the tag and topped with a piece of Mica Tile.  A scrap of stained calico attached with Tiny Attacher with the addition of the word Serenity (from The Language of Trees set).

This little collage was then layered to the journal page but before doing so, strips of Tea Bag paper with either stained with Lustre Spray in Aubergine or walnut ink.

Although practically illegible, I did some journaling with a watersoluble pencil onto the background before misting with water and soaking up excess moisture with rag cloth.

Details such as layering a piece torn from the Dina Wakley Collage Tissue Paper and layering to a scrap of walnut ink stained tea bag paper which was also coated with Liquid Acrylic Wax.

With a palette knife the texture paste was applied followed by Interference Gold Paint. Finally, inking up the dots only on the Scribbled Words circle stamp and focusing on the edge of the tag and upper area of journal page.

Thank you for your visit to this blog post.

Wishes

Lynne
