Winter Trees by Lynne Moncrieff

 Hello

As each year passes, I am convinced of the fact that Christmas time rolls around sooner than ever before!

Suddenly, it was time to think about settling down to making some Christmas cards and the arrival of the Katzelkraft Winter Wonderland set, spurred me on.

Although I used cotton rag paper for the cards, you could substitute with your favourite surface whether that be ultra-smooth stamping card or watercolour paper.

Supplies

Instructions

First it was a matter of spraying the Lustre Aubergine and Lustre Gold onto the smaller pieces of cotton rag paper and also to stain scraps of tea bag paper and soft handmade paper.

In the photo a torn piece of the stained paper is layered with scrap piece of sparkly tulle, topping with one single white sequin.

The beautiful tree was first stamped onto the Lustre Spray stained cotton rag and then, with the aid of a stamping platform, stamped again onto a piece of deli paper.

Stamped onto the deli paper ...

then lifting up to reveal the same tree stamped onto the Lustre Sprays stained cotton rag.

This is a beautiful set of tree stamps and the addition of the words makes it a great set of stamps for festive cards. The stamp Winter appears on this trio of cards.

To assemble, I opted to machine stitch the layers but they could as easily be hand-stitched or simply adhered with your favourite adhesive, such as That's Crafty! Multi-Purpose Craft Adhesive.

Many thanks for visiting.

Wishes

Lynne
