Hello!
My Christmas card making is finally in full swing and my post this week is all about making cards with a masterboard which is a great way to create a batch of cards in a shorter time than making them all individually especially with the big day looming fast!
Step by Step:
To create my masterboard, I took an A3 size piece of smooth cartridge paper and simply misted on several shades of That's Crafty! Flat Matte Sprays - I used Aqua, Bluebell, Raspberry and Tomato randomly on the paper.
As you can see, there are a few white areas left but I really like that for the added contrast that it gives to the reds and blues. I cut the piece into 6 squares as I love to make square cards and an A3 sheet will make 6 backgrounds.
I took a favourite snowflake stamp and stamped around the edges of each square with VersaMark ink, heat embossing the images with white powder.
I found some watercolour paper in my bits box that had been colour washed with Bright Blue Multi Surface Paint. I used Bluebell Flat Matte spray with a mask to add a bit of pattern and also stamped snowflakes on it with blue ink.
I stamped my favourite snowman 6 times on smooth cartridge paper with black ink and heat embossed the images with clear powder. I coloured the snowmen with Zig markers and cut them out.
I created my seasonal text with the stamp from the set, stamping with black ink and heat embossing with clear powder. I added a little colour with the red and blue markers and cut the words out separately.
I glued all the elements on to white square cards to finish.
