Hello
Sharing another double page spread from the That's Crafty! Surfaces A4 Journal comprising MDF covers with greyboard pages.
For this double page spread I remember I wanted to create a sense of almost darkness,
such as that within fairy tales.

Instructions
The greyboard pages were prepared with Gesso, with torn pieces of book text. Once dry, multi-surface paints applied, blending with a damp cloth.
With the Circles Stencil and black watersoluble pencil, lightly stenciling onto the background before misting with water, dabbing excess with cloth. Layering to this, two circles cut from old book text washed with Gesso.
To this, stamping the trees, extending the roots with Black Pearl Ink.
The Pearl Ink also used to create splatters on the background.
Onto scrap piece of book text (the margin), stamping one of the text stamps.
Page Two
The same tree stamp as on the first page, stamped onto a circle cut from painted cardstock, adhering to the page, edging with black watersoluble pencil, smudging with damp cloth.
Three small circles cut from painted cardstock layered to right side of circle.
Using the A4 Rectangles Stencil, stencilling two of the rectangles one from Gesso'd book text and the other from scrap of painted cotton rag paper.
Next week I will share the final page from this journal.
Thank you for your visit.
