Hello!
I have my steampunk hat on for this week's post as I wanted to share another of my samples for the versatile storage pot kits that can be decorated up in lots of different ways - the only limit is your imagination!
Step by Step:
I assembled the pots first using That's Crafty! Multi Purpose Adhesive and then painted the largest and smallest inside and out with black gesso. The middle one I painted with Bronze Multi Surface Paint.
I then took a couple of the fab papers designed by Amanda Southern, choosing neutral shades and stamped on these with grey ink using some of the texture stamps. I used a brick stencil with black gesso round the edges of the largest pot pieces.
I glued all the papers in place and then set about making my embellishments. As I had decided on a steampunk theme, I picked out some cogs, a bird and some wings. I added Sand Texture Paste to all of the elements and then painted them when dry with a mix of matte and metallic Multi Surface Paints.
I also stamped some script text patterned butterflies on scraps of blue and white overflow paper with black ink and heat embossed them with clear powder. I did the same with my chosen text and cut everything out.
I assembled all the steampunk embellishments and then glued them in place as shown on the photos below. I added some metal cogs to the largest pot for contrast.
Supplies:
