North by North West by Rachel Harries

For this weeks post Ive created an embellishment that would fit onto lots of projects.
I'm using the fabulous Pentart UV Resin. I'm using the Sir Vagabond Clocks and Stars Mould. I start by mixing some UV resin with a tiny drop of Anthracite Resin TintAnthracite Mica and Silver Micro Beads.

Once mixed I put this into the mould carefully then to set the resin I use a manicure lamp.

I then take One of the Sir Vagabond Clear Cuts that will fit the back of the aperture, I adhere this to the back of the aperture  using resin and popping back under my lamp to set.

I turn it over and fill with a combination of Green Coloured FlakesTurquoise Resin Tint and Gold Micro Beads setting again under my UV lamp.

I then take a clear cut that will fit the front of the aperture, there is a front and a back to the clear cuts if you look closely I add some colour to the back of the clear cut using Posca Pens.

I turn this over and apply with a little of the UV resin face up over the aperture.

You could leave it here there's plenty of interest going on but I decided to add a Rust Effect Paint.

I added a little Wax to finish off.

And there you go my compass is finished.
