Rustic Flower by Lynne Moncrieff

 Hello

For this collage, a rustic style prevails which was achieved, in particular, with the help of the fabulous Walnut Ink Crystals, this panel, although difficult to express in this photograph, is multi-textured with the piece of Mica Tile bringing another layer and dimension to the stamped focal.

Supplies

Instructions

Onto white cardstock, Pearl Inks were applied along with walnut ink, misting with water. The cardstock was cropped to adhere to the MDF panel. To this, touches of the beautiful Interference Gold Paint and I also added small areas of heavy body acrylic in Titanium White.

For the focal, the flower was stamped onto scrap of the prepared cardstock. Tracing around a Craftyboard circle, fussy cutting around the circle and the tip of the stem before adhering to the circle.

The circle then layered to the panel with pieces of teabag paper which had previously been stained with walnut ink crystals and an application of Liquid Acrylic Wax. I like to prepare a decent length of teabag paper in this way and roll it up when storing and then it is to hand when wanting to tear off pieces here and there.

Before layering the piece of Mica Tile, stamping the smallest size circles, cutting out and scattering onto the focal image and onto the background.

Towards the upper edge of the panel, a piece of re-cycled white packing paper sprayed with Walnut Ink.  To this, stamping the text onto another scrap of the prepared cardstock. After adhering to the panel, embellishing with twig wrapping with twine.

Thank you for visiting today.
