Bird at Sunset by Helen Chilton

Not sure if this is sunset or sunrise, but I just liked the colours!

I'm using a large Round and have masked off a line ready to paint the sky.

Use a mixture of Red and Orange paints for top half.

Then using the A4 Circle Stencil, add in a sun, first in White, then in Yellow. This has to be one of the most useful stencils I've got!

I used the feather stencil  from the last Hochanda shows with Bright Magenta paint to add a bit of texture

Then I added stamping with VersaFine Clair ink pads.

Then came the trees, some of Lynne's and some of Melina's.

I brought the open trees forward by colouring them in white.

It was all finished off with this greyboard bird and feathers.

I was going to leave this round just with the trees, but I decided it needed something to focus on and finish it off. That's where the Greyboard Bits and Pieces and the Craftyboard come in so useful: there are just so many designs to choose from.
