Arty Wings by Amanda Pink

Hi Everyone and Welcome,

Today I have a small piece of mixed media art to share with you that I've created using some of That's Crafty's and AALL and Creates products.  This piece leans towards my love of 'grungy' but has a central touch of delicate beauty!

I worked on a That's Crafty! White Greyboard 4 x 4 square cornered panel, initially covering it with strips of AALL and Creates Washi Tape #3. Although I do love the design and colour of this washi on this occasion I wanted to 'knock it back' so it was more suggested than obvious. So I lightly brayered over the tape with white gesso, That's Crafty! Teal multi surface paint and black acrylic paint.

A quick dry with a heat gun and the background was ready for some stamping detail.

For this I used just the text and numbers from AAll and Creates #384. Lined Hexagon and #383 Scripted Hexagons - both stamps are designed by Bipasha BK

As is often the case with me, the focal feature is the sum of a few parts. From the bottom up:
- a That's Crafty! ATcoin painted with black acrylic paint and crackled with DecoArt Crackle paint....

....- a That's Crafty! Greyboard 'Saw Blade' piece painted black..
- a small woodchip circle painted white and stamped with some of the numbers on AALL and Creates #383 stamp. Theres also a circle of washi tape cut out of AALL and Creates Washi tape #1 adhered to the centre.
- A stamped butterfly taken from That's Crafty's Arty Wings stampset coloured with one of Seth Apters Aladine Izink dye sprays: Sea Spray.

To finish off the overall design I added a couple of lengths of That's Crafty! Craftyboard chain (painted black) to the top right and bottom left of the panel ....

Thanks for joining me today. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by.
Have a great creative week
