Learn how to Fly! by Helen Chilton

This week I'm using some Artistic Outpost stamps. Love these sets - they've got a bit of everything - images, backgrounds, text.

I started by dabbing alcohol inks onto glossy cardstock. I used a cheap cut up sponge and also sprinkled on Blending Solution. Those colours make me happy!

I then scored it down the middle and cut into tag shapes.

After that I stamped over  the background using Stazon Pigment ink pads. Rather wished I hadn't when I'd finished as I didn't like it!

So, I thought I'd add some white paint stencilling which covered up some of the background and improved it!

I sponged a little more over the background and then also added sprinkles of embossing powder to the flower heads while the paint was wet.

To bring out the flowers even more I drew round them with a black pencil and smudged it about a bit.

Add your text and butterflies to finish off.

I enjoyed making this even though it went a bit wrong on the way. I've also added a bit of glitter although it doesn't show up in the photos very well.

'Til next week!
Helen
