Vintage Tags by Helen Chilton

I've used some of the lovely AB Studio paper this week to make a triptych of tags.

I've cut out the three printed tags. They look as though they've got real texture so are great as a base for a background.

To pull them together a bit more, I've sponged on some blue and beige inks and then mounted all three tags onto another piece of card to make the triptych.

The flowers are stamped onto some more of the paper and watercoloured.

I tore up some tiny scraps from the reverse side of the paper and added the flowers and text.

After that add fibres and embellishments.

Supplies:
That's Crafty! Clear Stamp Set - Lynne's Wildflowers - Set 1 - A5
AB Studio Paper Sets
: Rustical Journey
Ranger Archival Ink Pads: Jet Black
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads: Weathered Wood, Antique Linen, Tea Dye
Aqua-Flo Brush Set
Fibres, ribbon, button etc.

I like using patterned paper for a background every now and again as it gives you something to start with rather than looking at a blank page! It's easy to add more layers as the colours are already there.
These papers by AB Studio are great - there's lots of choice and each set has sheets with tags or words or pictures on that you can cut out and use.

Hope you've enjoyed this post.
