Fly Away by Debbie James

The weather is a bit miserable here today so I fancied flying away to somewhere nice but I wanted to stay indoors so I could craft so here is my solution!!

I started with a background using Oxides and blending. I splatterd the page with water and dried with paper towel to have a faux bleach effect.

I used the sun, clouds and little flowers from the stamp set and I coloured the kite and the clouds with the same colour Oxides.

On a separate piece of card I stamped the house and painted with the watercolours and I then cut it out and glued it to the background.

I used air dry clay to make the wings using the mould and I painted them with Dylusions ink spray and touched over with gold wax once dry.

I glued the winds to the page so that my little house could fly away.

I used

Art By Marlene Stamp Set
Distress Oxide in Twisted Citron
Distress Oxide Peackock Feathers
Art by Marlene Watercolours
Finnibair Prima Mould Cogs and Wings
