Big Isn't Always Best by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
I'm back this Tuesday with a tag and I just can't stop playing with the recently released stamps by Katzelkraft and I have returned, for this weeks make, to the fabulous 'Les Humanoides' set.

Here's What I Did:

I started by covering an MDF tag with a piece of gelli printed card from my stash. I glued it to the MDF with That's Crafty! Multi Purpose Glue and then trimmed the card using a sharp craft knife. To tone the colour down I lightly brayered midnight Dina Wakley paint across it. I added some stencilling to create interest in the background using several stencils and again more Midnight paint along with Ruby and White, again from Dina Wakley. I edged the tag using more Midnight paint applied using my finger.

Onto a piece of stamping card I stamped the characters and the podium, and coloured them using coloured pencils, I also added some Distress inks to the podium image. They were then cut out and I always go around the edges with a black pen to remove the white card edges. I then glued them to the tag.

I typed out the sentiment, cut the words out, edged them with a black fineliner pen and added them to the tag.

Here's What I Used:
Gelli Print using a Gel Press & Brayer & Acrylic Paints
AB Studio TandiArt Stencil - Numbers
That's Crafty! Dinky Stencils - Circles TC003 and Numbers TC060
Tim Holtz Stencil Dot Fade
Katzelkraft A5 Stamp Set - Les Humanoides
Katzelkraft A5 Stamp Set - Les Droles d'accessoires
Vintage Typewriter
Have a great week and I'll see you all next Tuesday
Love
